The company below has done quite a few shoreline restorations in the cove on the north end/intake and everyone is pretty pleased with outcome as well as cost.

In addition - as probably most know - the Rice Creek Watershed District has grant money available for shoreline restorations.  This will include a site survey and a layout and vegetation requirements which need to be adhered to.  Be also advised that any work involving grant money requires to bids for submission to the district.

We restored our shoreline in 2011 using the grant funding.  We're on the South Bay, which gets most of the traffic and it's holding strong.  There are definitely some lessons learned, so feel free to reach out to me with questions or to visit us (contact us through llianewbrighton@gmail.com and they'll put us in touch).  Main lesson is it needs to be heavily protected from waves and high water until the plants take ~ our first attempt washed out and RCWD came to the rescue with funding to rebuild.

It brings in birds, butterflies, and other wildlife which make it interesting to watch ~ plus the native plants are beautiful (especially compared to a rock).

We used Sandstrom Land Management as did some other owners back in this time frame, but I've heard they're difficult to get a hold of these days.
