Fill a 5 gallon bucket with water and set outside. Leave it outside for a day or two depending on how cold it is. |

Bring inside to warm it up for 10-15 minutes to loosen if from the bucket. |

Gently slide the luminary out of the bucket. It will be a block of ice that is still not frozen in the middle. |

The ice on the top (or what used to be the bottom of the bucket) will be thin, so bash a hole in the top with whatever you have around. In my case, a hockey stick. |
|
Dump out the water. |
|
Put a candle in it! |
